Privacy Policy
Vicate Music is operated by Ivan Ryzhko, Kraków, Poland. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
Who is responsible for your data
The data controller is Ivan Ryzhko, composer and operator of Vicate Music, based in Kraków, Poland. There is no company behind the site and no team with access to your data — requests are read and answered by the same person who writes the music.
Written contact for any data question, including access, correction or deletion: hello@vicatemusic.com. Requests are answered within one working day, and within 30 days at the latest, as the GDPR requires.
What we collect
- Account & order data — name, email address, billing country, and the details of your license purchases (track titles, license type, timestamps).
- Download activity — when you use a free download button while signed in, we record your account, the track, and the download time so we can understand how the music library is used.
- Payment data — card payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card number; Stripe returns a payment confirmation and a customer reference only.
- Session data — a short-lived session cookie to keep you logged in during your visit.
- Usage analytics — we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use the site (pages viewed, approximate location, device type). Until you accept analytics cookies in the cookie banner, Google Analytics runs in cookieless mode (Google Consent Mode) and receives only anonymous, aggregated signals. Full analytics cookies are set only after you consent.
How we use it
- To process your order and issue your license certificate.
- To send you a purchase confirmation and your license documents by email.
- To let you access your licenses and account in future visits.
- To provide free track downloads and measure which tracks are useful to registered users.
- To send occasional service emails about your own account activity — a welcome email, an unfinished-checkout reminder, or a follow-up after a purchase. You can turn reminders off anytime in Account → Details → Email preferences.
- To send our newsletter about new tracks and guides (about once a month) — only if you opted in at registration or in your account settings. Every issue includes an unsubscribe link, and you can also withdraw consent in Email preferences.
- To respond to support requests.
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties beyond what is listed below.
Third parties
- Stripe — payment processing. Your payment data is governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy.
- Resend — email delivery and newsletter list management. Transactional emails (purchase confirmations, account emails) are delivered through Resend. If you opt into the newsletter, your email address and first name are stored in our Resend contact list until you unsubscribe. See Resend's Privacy Policy.
- Google Analytics — site usage measurement. Data is processed according to Google's Privacy Policy; analytics cookies are set only with your consent.
Cookies
We use one session cookie to keep you logged in while you browse, and a cookie that remembers your cookie-banner choice. Google Analytics cookies are set only if you accept the "analytics" category in the cookie banner; you can decline and the site works fully without them. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies are set by this site. Stripe may set its own cookies on the Stripe-hosted checkout page.
Your rights (GDPR)
If you are in the EEA or UK, you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict its processing. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@vicatemusic.com. We will respond within 30 days.
Note: issued license records may be retained for legal and accounting purposes even after account deletion.
Data retention
Order and license records are kept for as long as legally required (typically 5 years for financial records under Polish law). Account data is deleted on request, subject to the above retention requirement.
