License Terms
Every track on Vicate Music is composed and curated by a working composer. When you download or license a track, you get the right to use that music in your content — you never buy the music itself. Vicate Music keeps full ownership and copyright of all tracks at all times.
Choose the license that matches how you’ll use the track.

Definitions
- Track — a single piece of music as offered on Vicate Music, including its available versions, loops and stems.
- Project — one single end production: one video, one episode, one podcast, one website, one ad. Using a track in a different production counts as a separate project.
- Online use — distribution on internet platforms you own or post to: YouTube, Vimeo, social media, your website, podcasts, online courses, online presentations and online client deliverables.
- Monetized content — content that earns money or promotes a business: ad‑enabled videos, sponsored posts, brand or business channels, paid client work, advertising.
- Content ID — YouTube’s automatic rights system. Vicate tracks are registered in it, so YouTube detects them automatically.
1. Personal Use — Free
For personal, non‑commercial projects only.
You can:
- Use the track in personal, non‑monetized content — personal videos, hobby and student projects, non‑commercial social posts, demos and tests.
- Edit, trim and loop the track to fit your project.
- Use it worldwide, with no time limit, for that personal use.
You must give credit. Wherever the track is used, include a credit and a link to the site:
Vicate — [Track Name] · vicatemusic.com
Put it in your video description, post caption or project credits.
You can’t:
- Use the track in any commercial, monetized, branded or paid project.
- Use it in advertising, client work, or anything that earns money.
- Resell, redistribute or share the audio file as a standalone file.
- Claim the music as your own or register it in any rights or Content ID system.
Content ID notice: This track is registered in YouTube Content ID. If you use it in monetized content, an automatic claim may appear on your video. This isn’t a copyright strike and doesn’t put your channel at risk — it simply flags that the music is licensed. To monetize cleanly and remove the claim, purchase the Commercial Online license.
2. Commercial Online — €29
For one commercial project published online. One license covers one track in one project.
You can:
- Use the track in one online project — a video, ad, podcast, social post, website, online course or presentation.
- Use it in monetized content (e.g. a monetized YouTube video), in online advertising (paid social and web ads), and in work you produce for a client.
- Edit, trim, loop and mix the track to fit that project.
- Use it worldwide, with no time limit, for that one project.
No credit required — a mention of Vicate Music is always welcome, but not mandatory.
You can’t:
- Reuse the same license for a second project. Each new project needs its own license.
- Use the track in broadcast (TV or radio), cinema or theatrical release, apps, games or software, or in any product made for resale — these require an Extended license.
- Resell or redistribute the audio file as a standalone file, or claim authorship.
Content ID clearance: Your purchase comes with a license certificate. If a Content ID claim appears on your video, you can release it yourself by submitting the certificate and its license ID through YouTube’s claim‑dispute form. If that doesn’t resolve it, send us your video URL and license ID and we’ll clear the claim for you.
3. Extended Use — Custom
For any use beyond a single online project. Custom scope, custom price.
Choose Extended when you need:
- Broadcast — TV or radio.
- Cinema, theatrical or festival distribution.
- Large‑scale advertising campaigns or media buyouts.
- Apps, games, software or other products.
- Multiple projects, multi‑platform rollouts, or a full buyout.
- Use by a large brand, or anything the licenses above don’t cover.
What you get:
- A license written for your exact use, territory and term.
- Optional extras: exclusivity, stems, and adaptation of the track to your project.
- Full Content ID clearance across all your placements.
How it works: Send a short brief — the track, where it’ll be used, audience and scale, and your timeline — and you’ll get a quote.
General terms (all licenses)
- All music remains the property of Vicate Music. You receive a license to use it, not ownership of it.
- Licenses are non‑exclusive — the same track may be licensed to others — unless agreed otherwise in an Extended license.
- A license is granted to you (or to the single project you produce, including client projects) and can’t be resold or transferred on its own.
- You may not use the music in unlawful, hateful, defamatory or pornographic content.
- You may not register any Vicate track, or content containing it, with any Content ID or rights‑management system as your own.
- Each purchase is issued a license certificate with a unique license ID — keep it as proof of your rights.
- Vicate Music is not responsible for how the music is used within your project.
